Matt Schramm is a business operations expert with over 18 years experience owning and building various businesses. He created a successful landscape company at 21 and has since helped grow several start-ups into multi-million dollar companies. Matt is passionate about building businesses and building people and regularly consults manufacturing companies on business strategy and processes. Matt is married to his beautiful wife Sophie, and together they are 2 die-hard Real Salt Lake soccer fans. Matt and Sophie have 4 sons and 1 daughter and enjoy spending time together outdoors as a family doing everything from snowboarding and fishing to shooting and archery.
Dr. Dave Schramm, Ph.D. CFLE
Known as “Dr. Dave” on campus and across the country, Dave Schramm is a professor and family life extension specialist at Utah State University in the department of Human Development and Family Studies. After graduating with his Ph.D. from Auburn University, he worked as a professor at the University of Missouri for nine years. Since arriving at USU in 2016, he has been appointed by Governor Herbert to serve on Utah’s Commission on Marriage, he appears monthly on Fox 13’s “The Place.” From British Columbia to Beijing, China, and from Utah to the United Nations, Dr. Dave has given over 500 presentations, classes, and workshops to a variety of audiences. He married his high school sweetheart Jamie, they have four children, he loves peanut M&Ms 🙂, and the Schramm fam lives in North Logan, Utah.
Dr. Wally Goddard, Ph.D.
Dr. Wally Goddard is a retired professor of Family Life having served in Arkansas and Alabama. He developed programs on personal well-being, marriage, and parenting. He is well known for his many creative family programs, including The Marriage Garden, The Parenting Journey, and Blueprint for Happiness. Wally has authored or co-authored several books including Between Parent and Child, The Soft-Spoken Parent, and Drawing Heaven into Your Marriage. He has been recognized by his colleagues with several awards including the Outstanding Family Life Educator Award. Wally and his wife, Nancy, have three adult children, fourteen grandchildren, and have cared for many foster children over the years. Wally describes Nancy as the finest human being he has ever known.
Megan Ostler is the resident Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for iFit. She has a master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Utah State University and is a passionate Aggie fan.Her lifelong passion for service, science, and food led her into nutrition, and she has been successfully helping patients, friends, clients, and coworkers ever since. Before joining the iFit family, Megan worked as a clinical dietitian at McKay Dee hospital, where she provided medical nutrition therapy for a variety of patients and disease states. At iFit, she works to develop prescriptive nutrition programs and products to support iFit users in their health goals. She is a strong believer in the 90:10 rule—meaning 90% of the time, you eat healthy, fresh, nutrient-dense foods, while 10% of the time, you should indulge a little. She truly loves everything about food: cooking, canning, and baking, but mostly…eating! Megan currently resides in Cache Valley, Utah with her husband and three daughters. When she’s not concocting new recipes or creating delicious and nutritious meal plans, she treasures time with her family rock climbing, gardening, and water skiing.
Alana Stowe is an Accredited Financial Counselor and Coach. She has been a member of the Association for Financial Counseling, Planning, and Education since 2016. She also holds certifications from other national financial organizations such as NeighborWorks America. Alana earned a bachelor’s degree in personal finance from Utah State University, where she worked for several years facilitating money management and HUD approved housing workshops.
Her studies in human development started with personal finance and grew into an interest in the psychology of money and the impact that it has on relationships, behavior, and personal well-being. Alana’s professional endeavors have created a love for presenting to groups and helping individuals define their financial goals and create realistic pathways to reach them. Alana’s strengths in personal finance are in the basics of money management, budgeting, goal setting, debt reduction, and saving strategies.
Alana is happily married to Matt, who has always been supportive of her dreams and helps add fun into their frugal family adventure. In her personal time, she enjoys gardening, baking, watching movies, and spending time with her husband and three amazing children.
